Installation of Master and Wardens
Haberdashers' Hall

Wednesday 17th October 2018 saw Stephen Britt installed as the 502nd Master of the Worshipful Company of Carmen, along with Colonel Simon Bennett as Senior Warden and Peter Cordrey as Junior Warden.

The Master and Wardens were installed publicly in front of the congregation assembled at St Sepulchre-without-Newgate. The service was conducted by the Honorary Chaplain, Reverend Canon Huw Mosford  and assisted by Reverend Sophie Bannister. 

The Cart Hiring ceremony took place immediately after the Installation Service, outside of Haberdashers' Hall. The vehicle hired by the Master was a LEVC TX London Electric Taxi which is the World's most advanced electric black cab and owned by Mr Kevin Nutley who is a Court Assistant with the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers.

Prior to the Installation Service the Rt.Hon The Lord Mayor of London, Alderman Charles Bowman and the Lady Mayoress, Samantha Bowman, were riding around the City of London on horseback and stopped off at Haberdashers' Hall to pay a visit. On there arrival the Carmen Court of Assistants greeted them and wished them well on their journey around the City.
