Carmen's Joint Services Dinner
Drapers' Hall

The Carmen held their annual Joint Services Dinner in Drapers' Hall on Tuesday 26 April 2016, with the Master Mark Griffiths presiding, attended by the Wardens, Mrs Marsha Rae Ratcliff and Patrick Marsland-Roberts TD. The event started with a Court meeting at 3.30pm in which four people were given the Honorary Freedom of the Company including the Beadle, Christopher Morton. There were a further seven people clothed. A champagne reception followed at 6.30pm before Past Master HRH the Princess Royal arrived and was met by the Master and Clerk where she had the chance to speak with the Award winners. Later in the evening she presented the Company’s Military Awards to the Sword of Honour winner and Soldier of the Year from the Royal Logistic Corps; The RAF Cup and RAF Medal and the RN Cup and RN Medal. Chief of the Air Staff Sir Andrew Pulford responded to the Master’s toast to the Armed Forces and also proposed the traditional Carmen toast.
