The election of a Lord Mayor for the year ensuing will take place at the meeting of Common Hall to be held in Guildhall, London, EC2 on Thursday 29 September 2022 at 11.45am.
Liverymen of this Company who are on the current Common Hall Register (i.e. those who have held the Company’s Livery for a period of not less than one year prior to 29 September 2022) are hereby summoned to attend and vote on this occasion, when it is hoped that as many qualified Liverymen as possible will be at Guildhall by 11.45am, on 29 September 2022 to exercise their ancient and undoubted right and to perform their duty in this regard.
A pass, available through the Company Office, will be required for entry to the Guildhall, though Liverymen without a pass will still be admitted after the Guildhall staff have confirmed their identity. It is regretted that tickets for guests to attend this Election as spectators will not be available.
Members of the Carmen’s Company, who have attended the Election, and their guests can then lunch at Stationers’ Hall. For £74 per person including VAT, enjoy a reception followed by a three course meal with red and white wines and a glass of port.
