PETER CORDREY MSc, FCA, FCMI
Peter was born in Folkestone, Kent in 1947. His father was a career officer in the RAF and Peter was educated in military schools overseas, and a boarder in a British Prep school and Public School where he was Head of House and school prefect and captain of cricket and rugby. On leaving school Peter qualified as a Chartered Accountant and then went to business school for a business administration degree. The next 25 years were spent in Merchant Banking and at 50 he retired as Director and Head of Banking. Post Merchant Banking, Peter has been an investor and advisor; and Chairman of a public quoted bank and a finance company as well as principal shareholder and executive chairman of a private bank that he sold 12 years ago. Currently he owns a finance and payroll company. Peter has an interesting collection of vintage cars and carriages and enjoys car tours and rallies and he won the cup for “Against all Odds” in the marathon 1997 Peking to Paris Rally.
Peter has been married to Carol for 48 years with whom he has two daughters and two granddaughters and he has written a biography called “Time is Money”.
