British-Ukrainian Aid is proud to invite you to our 10th-anniversary celebration, organised in partnership with Carmen. The event will take place at Vintners’ Hall, home of the Vintners’ Company, one of the Great Twelve Livery Companies of the City of London. The Company received its first Royal Charter in 1363 and is regarded as the spiritual home of the international wine trade.
The evening will include a reception, followed by 3- course dinner and an auction.
Reception
The reception will be held in The Drawing Room, which was redecorated in 1899 by Mr. Schmidt and further refurbished in 1989. The ceiling received additional restoration in 2017. The room boasts a fine collection of enamel and porcelain wine labels, a longcase clock made in 1683 by James Gavell, and the Company’s charters displayed on the walls.
Dinner
A 3-course dinner, curated by renowned Ukrainian chef Yevhen Klopotenko, will follow the reception. The Dining Room was originally built in 1671 and retains much of its late 17th-century carving.
Auction
The auction will be conducted by professional auctioneer Derek Mathewson and will feature fantastic items for bidding.
