Have a heart!

Join your fellow Carmen to celebrate and raise money and awareness at this year’s Charity Lunch.

The Master’s chosen Charity for his year is The British Heart Foundation.  The BHF was founded in 1961 and funds medical research related to heart and circulatory diseases and their risk factors, and runs influencing work aimed at shaping public policy and raising awareness.  Click here for further information.

For 2023, the lunch has been combined with the Court Election and Common Hall.

Have your chance to vote for the next Court Assistants.  There are five members standing for three places.  Click on the names below to see their election statements as they try to persuade you to cast your vote for them:-

Caitland Lomas

Jacqueline O’Donovan

John Sparshatt-Worley

Richard Springford

John Townsley

You can vote by post, by email (deputyclerk@thecarmen.co.uk) but you must send your vote from the e-mail address registered with the Company or in person.  Click here for the voting form.  Voting on the day can be done from 10.00am until 4.00pm at Butcher’s Hall.  The closing date for postal votes is Monday 3 July. The result of the vote will be announced and published at 4.30pm on 5 July 2023.

The Company Officers will be available to answer any question you may have.  Please let the Deputy Clerk know in advance of any questions you wish to ask by emailing your question and who it is for to deputyclerk@thecarmen.co.uk.

There will also be a number of newly clothed Liverymen attending their first lunch who we are sure you will want to ensure are made welcome.

Taking place at the recently renovated Butchers’ Hall from 12.30pm for 1.00pm.  The Great Hall combines the history and tradition of a City Livery Hall with the very best in modern amenities.  It is also home to the City of London’s largest tapestry.  The Hall also has a Rooftop Garden from where we hope to hold our reception drinks (weather dependent).

The dress code is Lounge Suits or equivalent.

The closing date is Wednesday 28 June 2023.  Direct debits will be taken on that day.

The cost is £120 per person including VAT.  Please book using the form below or, if you prefer to download a form, please click here.
