This year’s July Court Meeting will be held at 10.00am on HQS Wellington.  Teas and coffees from 9.45am for The Master, Wardens, Court Assistant’s and Past Masters

Then, open to all, Common Hall will be held in our very own Carmen Hall.  With drinks from 1.30pm, there will be a hot buffet lunch and a chance for members to look round the hall.  The Senior Past Master will speak about the Hall, how we got here and what the future holds.

If your travel arrangements require you to arrive prior to 1.30pm, there are a number of local cafes and pubs to have a refreshing drink and rest before arriving at the hall at 1.30pm.

Common Hall is a term used to describe a gathering of Liverymen and often associated with an election.  The Company Officers will be available to answer any questions members may have.  If you wish to ask a question, could you please let the Deputy Clerk know in advance by emailing your question and who it is for to deputyclerk@thecarmen.co.uk.

In the fine tradition of enjoying fellowship, those Carmen who are able will move on to a local hostelry for further liquid celebrations with the newly elected Court Assistants.

Court Election – The Carmen Court have decided that there will be two vacancies for election to the Carmen Court this year.  Only two candidates applied for the vacancies and have been interviewed by the Court Panel who have recommended that both meet the criteria for Court membership. The candidates are Mrs Joy Laister and Mr Paul Sainthouse. The Election this year will therefore be uncontested but members are requested to vote for their preferred candidate to determine the seniority of the individuals on the Court.  Click on their names for their election statements.  Voting can be done in person at Carmen’s Hall on 6 July from 10.00am to 4.00pm, by post or email to deputyclerk@thecarmen.co.uk using the form the form attached.  The result of the vote will be announced and published at 4.30pm on 6 July 2022.

The price is £80 per person.  Please book using the form below.  If you prefer to download a form, please click here.
