THIS EVENT HAS NOW CLOSED.  If you still wish to attend, please contact the Carmen Office to see if there are any spaces available.  The election of the Sheriffs and other Officers for the year will take place at the meeting of Common Hall held at Midday in the Guildhall, London.  This year’s Shrieval Candidates are Alderman and Leatherseller Gregory Percy Jones and Citizen and Draper David Graham Forbes Chalk.  Please click on their names for their Election Addresses.

Liverymen of this Company who are on the current Common Hall Register (i.e., those who have held the Company’s Livery for a period of not less than one year prior to 1 June 2024) are hereby summoned to attend and vote on this occasion.  It is hoped that as many qualified Liverymen as possible will be present. All Liverymen are asked to arrive from 11.00am to be seated in good time and no later than 11.30am. Those Liverymen arriving later cannot be guaranteed a place in the Great Hall and may be seated, instead, in the Livery Hall or the Old Library.

A pass will be required for entry to Guildhall, though Liverymen without a pass will still be admitted after Guildhall staff have confirmed their identity.  Guests are unable to attend the Election as spectators but are welcome to attend the lunch afterwards.  Please be advised that bags, briefcases etc will not be allowed into Guildhall for security reasons.

This year’s three course seated lunch with wine, a glass of port and coffee will be held in Stationers’ Hall at approximately 1.00pm, starting with a Drinks Reception in the Garden (weather permitting).  The cost will be £75.00 per person (including VAT).

Please complete the form below by Friday 14 June 2024. Alternatively, please click here to download a form which should be returned to the Deputy Clerk.

Voting passes and lunch tickets will be sent out.  If you have not received these by Thursday 20 June 2024, please contact the Deputy Clerk immediately.

BACS Payments: Bank: National Westminster Bank / Account Name: Worshipful Company of Carmen / Sort Code: 60-05-11 / Account No: 88411915 / Reference: [surname]/ES

Please note, places cannot be confirmed until payment has been received.  Direct Debits will be taken on the closing date of Friday 14 June 2024.
