Now is your chance to visit the Defence School of Transport (DST) Leconfield in East Yorkshire, believed to be the largest residential driver training school in the world.
Located at Normandy Barracks, Leconfield, near Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire, the school, part of the Defence College of Support (Headquarters at Worthy Down) is a tri-Service organisation teaching driver and transport management training to personnel from the Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Marines.
Formally the site of RAF Leconfield, it initially became the Army School of Mechanical Transport in 1977 and then became the Defence School of Transport in 1996 when it took responsibility for training personnel of all three Services.
During the visit, you will have the opportunity to see the school’s vehicles and facilities, meet personnel, and learn about its critical role in Defence operations.

Visitors must be in possession of photographic identity (UK Passport or photo Driving Licence).

Dress – You are asked to wear smart casual clothing (but bring suitable waterproof/windproof clothing as some of the visit will be outdoors). The visit will conclude at approximately 1600 hrs.
