The Master cordially invites you to this prestigious event, being held jointly with the Worshipful Company of Fuellers.
We celebrate our shared – and mostly friendly – history with our origins in the Worshipful Company of Woodmongers in the sixteenth century.
Mansion House has been used as the official residence of the Lord Mayor since Sir Crisp Gascoyne’s mayoralty in 1752/53. Imposingly Palladian in style, the Salon, where the reception will be held, was formerly a roofless courtyard, and since being covered now has a dramatic row of chandeliers. The banquet will be served in the Egyptian Room, which is based on designs by the classical Roman architect Vitruvius of Roman buildings in Egypt.
Our Principal guest is Sir John Parker GBE FREng (on the left) who has served as CEO, Chairman or Non-Executive Director in over 20 major UK and overseas companies. He is an Honorary Freeman of the Fuellers. Click here to read more about our Principal Guest.
Also speaking will be the Lord Mayor, The Rt Hon Alderman Alistair King KStJ DL (on the right) who was installed as the 696th Lord Mayor London in November. He will be updating us with the progress of his Mayoralty. Click here to read more about the Lord Mayor.
We will be savouring the fares of new caterers, Social Pantry, and enjoying Rathfinny Classic Cuvee Brut 2019 (a sparkling English wine) at the reception. During the banquet, the Royal Marines Association Ensemble will be playing.
The Master would be delighted if you joined him for a wonderful evening of good food, fine wines and friendship.
Dress is White Tie with decorations and livery badges for Gentlemen and long evening dresses for Ladies (shoulders covered). Although White Tie is encouraged, the Master is keen that no-one should be discouraged from attending solely for want of such attire and that Black Tie (dinner jacket) will be acceptable for Gentlemen. Tiaras are most welcome for ladies.
Pour Memoires will be issued. Please contact the Deputy Clerk if you have not received confirmation or a Pour Memoire by Friday 11 April 2025. As Mansion House has airport style security, please ensure you bring your Pour Memoire and have photographic ID. Admittance will only be possible from 6.15pm onwards.
Photographs will be taken at the event. These will only be sent to those attending the event. If you (or your guests) do not wish to be included in any photos, please let the Deputy Clerk know.
The cost is £160 per person including VAT. We are grateful for the generous donations that enabled the ticket price to be kept at this level. Payment is required to reserve your place(s). The deadline date for bookings is Friday 11 April 2025. Unfortunately, a refund cannot be given after Friday 11 April 2025 except in exceptional circumstances. Direct debits for Carmen will be taken on Monday 7 April 2025.
Please complete the online form below or the attached form and return it to the Deputy Clerk.
