GOTCH Janet Phyllis (née Rich) died peacefully on 30th January 2025, aged 93, after a short illness. Devoted mother to Jennifer, Sarah and Christopher, much-loved grandmother to Lucy, Alice, Richard, Imogen, Thomas, Laurence and Eugenie, and great-grandmother to Benji and Alfie. Private family cremation followed by a service of thanksgiving for her life at Christ’s Chapel of Alleyn’s College of God’s Gift, Dulwich, SE21 7AE, at 3pm on Thursday 13th March. For those who did not know Janet her late husband Jeremy was the Sheriff in 1993/94 (which he fought and won in a contested election) and after serving as Master Carman in 1996/97, later also became an active liveryman of the World Traders until his death in 2013. Janet played an active role in his civic life, and continued to attend Carmen events from time to time – a very warm and nice lady.
