Carmen General Charity

The Worshipful Company of Carmen (registered charity number 1207722) was established in 2024 for the public benefit, the relief and assistance of non‑combatant victims of war, natural disaster, trouble or catastrophe in any part of the world, in particular by transporting supplies, aid and other items to those in need and by working with other organisations to provide such relief and assistance.

The Charity provides support by:

  • Coordinating the transport of humanitarian supplies to affected regions.
  • Partnering with recognised NGOs to deliver aid safely and efficiently.
  • Providing logistical support to organisations responding to emergencies.
  • Raising funds to support relief operations and essential goods procurement.

In the year to August 2025 it:

  • Purchased 37 vehicles. These were serviced and repaired, taxed insured and delivered to Ukraine.
  • Transported essential supplies (Generators, food, medical kits, clothing) to Ukraine affected by war.
  • Participated in joint logistics operations with British Ukraine Aid, Stand for Ukraine
  • Provided volunteer drivers, vehicles, and transport coordination for emergency shipments.

Not all our driving consists of going into Ukraine, but when we do we are typically delivering 1000KM from the front line. Getting home from Ukraine you would take public transport from Ukraine to Poland airport then fly home. We pay expenses but not for your time. All vehicles have a valid MOT tax and we arrange insurance with you. All vehicles have a mechanical inspection prior to leaving the UK. All drivers will receive driver training before you leave.
