Common Hall is often associated with an election and is where The Company Officers can answer questions from members.  So, if there is a question you always wanted to ask, or an aspect of the Company or your membership you are unsure about or would like further information, this is your chance!  Please just email that question and who it is for to the Deputy Clerk.  You can of course still ask questions on the day.

This year, the Carmen Court decided there will be three vacancies for election to the Carmen Court.  Five candidates stepped up and applied for the vacancies.  All were interviewed by the Court Panel who recommended that all met the criteria for Court membership. The candidates competing for your vote are:

Mr Graham Funnell – (gwdfunnell@gmail.com)

Mr Carl Hughes – (carl.hughes@hughesdrivertraining.co.uk)

Ms Sharon Kindleysides – (sharon.kindleysides@gmail.com)

Mrs Joann Robertson – (JoannAlsdorf@hotmail.com)

Mr Richard Smith – (rsmith@rha.uk.net)

Click on their names or their one-page synopsis of their background and interests.  All welcome contact from Carmen members to explain their thoughts and aspirations regarding the Company should they be elected.  They will also deliver their Election Address at the end of Common Hall where you will also be able to ask them questions.

At around 4.00pm, we will move to Carmen’s Hall for a Sparkling Tea until the voting closes at 5.00pm.  The result of the vote will be announced in Carmen’s Hall by the Master and published at 5.30pm on 9 July 2025.

Members are requested to vote for their preferred candidate to the Court.  Voting can be done in person at Carmen’s Hall on 9 July 2025 from 8.00am to 5.00pm, by post or email to deputyclerk@thecarmen.co.uk using the attached form.

If your travel arrangements require you to arrive prior to 2.15pm, there are a number of local cafes and pubs to have a refreshing drink and rest before arriving at the Church at 2.15pm.

For Catering purposes, please complete the form below or the attached form and return it to the Deputy Clerk.  The deadline date is Wednesday 2 July 2025.  The dress code is Lounge Suit.
